How does shipping with Local Couriers work?

Local Courier service options are available for shipments within 50 miles of your warehouse location. They are based on current courier availability, courier and rates may fluctuate. We have worked very hard to make Local Courier shipments as effortless and efficient as possible. There are only a few differences between shipping with a Local Courier and a traditional carrier (such as UPS) in our platform.

Rates

Rates are based on your location, recipient location, value of the shipment, time and traffic conditions, day of the week, and many other factors. Rates may vary, especially if you are shipping during Peak service times.

Pickups

Pickup can be set to Now or Scheduled. Please be sure the packages are ready for pickup based on your selection. Once the shipment is paid for and processed (moved to Awaiting Shipment status) a driver will be dispatched to pickup and deliver. If you choose the Now option, a driver will be dispatched IMMEDIATELY upon shipment purchase. There are no additional fees for scheduling the pickup.

Tips

You will be asked to add tip before purchasing the shipment. 100% of the tips collected are sent directly to the drivers. Tip amount will be applied to all individual shipments being processed. Please tip to help compensate these hard-working individuals, your help is greatly appreciated!

Tracking

A tracking portal is provided and shipments can be tracked by Job Numbers. You will be able to access the tracking page as soon as a shipment is processed. On this page you will be able to view the driver pickup ETA and progress on their route.

Notifications

Notifications are sent to the Recipient's phone number and email informing them that their delivery is on the way as soon as it is picked up. They are also given a link to the tracking page where they can see the driver's progress on the route and ETA.

We are continuously updating this new feature so stay tuned for more updates and improvements!
